RK Series – RK-20, RK-40, RK-60

"Ultimate Solution to Community Water Problems"

The rugged galvanised steel frame has been designed to enable any of the RK series units to be transported over difficult terrain to remote sites by land or air without sustaining damage.

The compact footprint ensures the most economical transportation to disaster areas.
Each of the units is shipped in an individual shipping crate.

The RK series have an impressive continuous capacity from 20 to 60 litres per minute of treated water and will sustain a substantial community.
These units can be operated without electricity providing an adequate "head" of water can be introduced from a height of approximately 150 feet.
Generators and pumps can be supplied to suit individual requirements.

The system operates in the following sequence for the water to be treated;

  1. Pressure pump
  2. Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Media tank filled with advanced media capable of reducing dirt and sediment down to between 5 to15 micron (smallest visible is approx 40 micron). Automatic control valve fitted for backwashing and rapid rinsing.
  3. FRP Media tank filled with granular activated carbon to reduce pesticides, herbicides and organic matter.
  4. A Housing fitted with a pleated washable sediment filter 1 micron.
  5. Patented Ceramic cartridge filled with MCV®* – an Iodinated Resin developed for and used by NASA for the Space Platform.
  6. Nanoceram – electrostatic filter cartridge.
  7. Iodosorb®* – an iodine scavenging resin that removes all iodine from the treated water.
  8. Granular activated carbon/KDF for the final pass to remove the last vestige of taste and odour and reduce heavy metals.

Any of the RK series units strategically placed throughout a town or city in a civil emergency will provide safeguarded water to a large population.
